Landscape Architect/Designer

Plan Design is looking for a Landscape Architect/Designer with a minimum of one year’s professional experience to join its small but growing young practice. The studio is based in Montpellier, Cheltenham and we are offering flexible working hours either four or five days a week. You will be working on a range of projects from large commercial developments to private gardens with an opportunity to get involved in planting installation. Ideally the right candidate will have excellent graphical skills, good technical understanding and a passion for design.
Essential Skills and attributes:
- Post graduate diploma/MA in Landscape Architecture / Garden Design
- One/two years professional experience post degree working as a landscape Architect/Designer.
- A strong well-rounded skill set in design with an emphasis on graphical communication
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively to the rest of the team and in presentations to design teams and clients.
- Good hand drawing skills preferrable.
- Organised, dedicated, self-motivated and willing to work on a range of projects.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team.
- Proficient in the following software: AutoCAD, Adobe Create Suite, Microsoft Office, Sketch-up and NBS
- Knowledge and experience of Vectorworks preferrable.
- Fluency in English language.
- Full UK driving licence
Project Involvement:
- Support landscape design development across a variety of projects from private gardens to commercial developments.
- Assist in graphics, reports, planning applications and technical drawings.
- Coordinate with clients, design team members and contractors throughout the project.
- Attending site visits and design team meetings
