Garden Designer

Creative Gardens and Driveways are seeking an experienced Garden Designer to join our dynamic team. Based in Cheshire, this role offers the best of both worlds: the stability and security of employment with the flexibility of self-employment.

Role Overview:

• Location: Primarily home-based with site visits as needed
• Schedule: Full commitment to 4 days per week (can be 3 days if required)
• Commitment: All-year-round, long-term position
• Office Space: Must have home office and space for an A1 printer (provided by us)

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients to understand and define design briefs
• Create both creative and technical garden designs that align with client expectations and can be delivered effectively by the installation teams
• Produce detailed schedules of work and Bills of Materials
• Collaborate with the Managing Director and Operations Director to ensure project delivery meets high standards

Requirements:

• Proven Experience: At least 5 years in high-end domestic garden design and landscaping CAD
• Proficiency: Strong knowledge of CAD (ideally Vector works)
• Horticultural Expertise: Solid understanding of plants and landscaping techniques
• Commercial Acumen: Ability to manage detailed take-offs and source materials
• Numeracy & Spreadsheets: High level of numeracy and strong spreadsheet skills
• Full UK Driving License: Required for site visits
• Professional Persona: Strong communication and interpersonal skills
