Senior Garden and Landscape Designer

The Outsiders Group Ltd is a well-respected design and installation company in Barnes, working on premium and innovative gardens and outdoor spaces throughout London and the UK. With a growing roster of exciting commercial and domestic projects on the drawing board, we now require a skilled and experienced Senior Garden and Landscape Designer.

Must have strong design flair and technical ability. Working in close collaboration with the design team on a wide range of projects, you will take a lead in creating high quality, detailed designs and accompanying presentations. With a proven ability to manage client meetings and communications, and coordinating with contractors and consultants as necessary, you will play a significant role in driving growth and delivering exceptional results.

Skills and Experience

• Degree/diploma in Garden Design or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience, ideally in high-end or large-scale projects
• Strong experience of using Vectorworks, SketchUp, Photoshop, Adobe etc

• Excellent technical knowledge, especially in planting design and hard landscaping
• Understanding of construction drawings

• Client Liaison - well-developed client-facing skills, from discussing design ideas to presenting design concepts
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage and meet deadlines autonomously
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and contractor relationships to ensure smooth delivery

• Extensive plant knowledge
• Genuine passion for gardens, plants and outdoor spaces

• Full, clean UK driving licence
