Landscape Architect/Designer

We are seeking a Landscape Designer/Architect with a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience to help deliver high-end residential, public realm, and institutional projects. You’ll bring creativity and technical skill to distinctive designs, working with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams from concept through completion.

This role suits a collaborative designer with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for site-responsive landscapes, and proven ability to deliver on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You’ll be involved in all project stages, liaising with clients and contributing to both design and delivery.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly proficient in Vectorworks Landmark and SketchUp, and experienced with high-end projects. Public or institutional landscape experience is an advantage.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Conceptual, masterplan, and technical design skills with innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • Good plant and materials knowledge.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites.
  • Proficient in Vectorworks Landmark (essential), Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Google Workspace (Mac environment).
  • BA/MA in Landscape Architecture or equivalent.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design & Delivery
  • Develop designs from concept to completion, aligning with client expectations, budgets, and site constraints.
  • Produce drawings, presentations, reports, and specifications for planning and construction.
  • Create graphics and detailed design packages to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Support senior staff, liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors, and assist with contract administration.
  • Conduct site visits and represent the studio professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Present designs confidently to clients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Project Management
  • Maintain project records and ensure efficient delivery within budget and timeline.
  • Quality-check outputs to meet studio standards.
  • Manage time effectively, using the studio’s project management systems.
  • Support continuous improvement of internal processes.
  • Professional Development
  • Engage in training and career growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to innovation, research, and ecological design strategies.
  • Share knowledge and foster collaboration within the team.
  • Stay current with emerging trends, materials, and technologies.
