Beaufort & Rampton Landscapes is a growing, design-and-build practice specialising in high-end residential and commercial gardens. Known for our craftsmanship, planting expertise, and attention to detail, we create thoughtful, enduring outdoor spaces for private and commercial clients.

The Role

We are looking for a creative, positive, and highly skilled Garden Designer to join our Design Team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong design ability, excellent plant knowledge, and a genuine passion for gardens, who enjoys working collaboratively while managing projects independently.

You will be based primarily in our Chobham studio, working on projects for both local and Richmond-area clients, with the opportunity for hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality residential garden schemes
• Create planting designs with strong horticultural knowledge
• Manage client briefs from concept to presentation
• Produce 2D and 3D design drawings and visuals
• Prepare technical drawings, details, and landscaping specifications
• Liaise with clients, landscapers, and suppliers
• Manage timelines and project budgets effectively

Skills & Experience

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

• A Diploma or Degree in Garden Design
• 2–3 years minimum relevant professional experience
• Proven experience delivering outstanding residential garden designs
• Excellent plant knowledge and planting design skills
• Strong client-facing and presentation skills
• High levels of self-motivation and time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in CAD (Vectorworks preferred)
• Experience with SketchUp and/or Photoshop for 3D visuals (other software considered)
• Ability to produce technical drawings and specifications
• Experience managing project budgets
