Joe Perkins Design is a design-led landscape studio creating high-end residential gardens, show gardens, public realm projects, and work for horticultural institutions in the UK and internationally.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Landscape Architect / Designer to take a leading role on a range of high-end projects.
This is a senior position within the studio. You will work closely with Joe Perkins, contributing to design direction while taking ownership of projects through key stages from concept design through to delivery.

You will be trusted to lead design development, coordinate consultants, and manage client and contractor relationships on allocated projects, with support from the wider studio team.
This role suits someone who enjoys both creative design and project leadership, and who thrives in a collaborative, design-focused environment.

We work in a flexible hybrid way, combining remote working with regular studio days at our Hove studio. The role also involves site and client visits, so a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential. We reimburse mileage for all work-related travel.

Key Responsibilities
● Lead the design development of projects from concept through to completion
● Work closely with Joe Perkins on creative direction and design reviews
● Produce high-quality drawings, presentations, reports, and technical information using Vectorworks Landmark
● Coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout project delivery
● Undertake site visits and represent the studio professionally
● Ensure design intent is maintained through construction stages
● Contribute to the smooth running and continuous improvement of studio processes
● Support wider studio activity including knowledge sharing and design development
 

Skills & Experience
● Minimum 5+ years’ experience in landscape architecture or garden design
● Exceptional proficiency in Vectorworks Landmark (essential)
● Strong conceptual design ability and technical delivery skills
● Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to clients and teams
● Strong plant knowledge and sensitivity to materials and detail
● Experience working on high-end residential or design-led projects
● Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Google Workspace
● Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
