The Birkbeck Garden History Group runs a Study Day every year.
Our Study Day this year on Saturday 29 February 2020 is on the theme of grottoes - A Galaxy of Grottoes.
We will be looking at the ever-intriguing subject of grottoes in garden history from classical times through the Italian Renaissance to their heyday in Britain in the 18th century, and will include a talk on the problems and practicalities of their restoration
