APHA biosecurity training day hosted by BARCHAM TREES
Date: 09 April 2025
Time: 10:00 - 16:00
Location: Eye Hill Drove, Ely, Cambridgeshire, CB7 5XF
How Biosecure is your Business?
In a world that is facing increasing threats from pests and diseases, from abroad and at home this day will bring plant health experts together to give you a thorough grounding on what it means to ensure your business is following best practice.
Learn how to minimise your biosecurity impacts on clients and suppliers, from both a business and personal point of view. In addition, you will meet APHA Plant Health Inspectors and hear about some of the current pests and diseases threatening the UK and the procedures in place to defend the UK’s unique environment, landscapes, and ability to trade internationally.
There will be time to talk about Plant Passporting and how you can make it work with your business and a session on the Plant Healthy Certification Scheme aimed at making biosecurity an industry norm.
Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day but please bring your own lunch.
The SGLD thanks Barcham Trees, a valued supporter of the SGLD for hosting this event.
