Date: 04 June 2025
Time: 15:00 - 16:00
Please note that this event will be recorded and will be made available to delegates after the event. For more information on recording and privacy please click here. Once you have booked onto the event an invitation register to the Zoom meeting will be sent via email, including information on how to join the meeting.
These talks will concentrate on the rules, regulations and best practices that might apply to the subject.
Often, despite there being technical guidance, a solution is not always obvious, or it can be too complex to be framed within such documents. If there is any uncertainty further clarity should be sought, by the Designer from an expert or supplier.
The summary notes or slides and recordings for each talk will be made available to attendees.
Ground Anchor and connections
Connecting materials to, or into the ground has often involved the use of concrete, this has created connections that are prone to rotting and require considerable effort to repair or replace. While this presentation is focused on methods of connecting and anchoring timber to the ground it also covers techniques and products that can be used where timber replacement might be required: such as ground prone to flooding. Items that will be covered inc: subterranean cable anchors, geogrids, ground screws, post support anchors.
