Join us for the first inspiring and practical session of the year where we explore how to choose and specify natural stone and hard landscaping materials that stand the test of time in garden and landscape design.
This CPD will guide you through the essentials of specifying hard landscaping materials that will be suitable to the environment you are designing within: including considering different types of stones and their purpose, thicknesses of stone and application, different surface finishes to natural stone and what this means, care & maintenance considerations for different materials and bespoke design ideas and feasibility considerations. Plus, we’ll share real-life case studies that bring the design principles to life.
We will also have a guided tour of our masonry workshop to see where we use advanced technology and artisan hand masonry skills to craft the bespoke items that you see in wonderful gardens, from elaborate water features and sculptures, to bespoke sized copings, firepits, steps and more. Once you know what is feasible in stone, the possibilities are limitless in terms of what you design into your gardens, and having that hands-on experience of seeing it made means you can create more impressive ideas bespoke to your gardens.
Expect hands-on insights, practical advice, and plenty of inspiration—whether you’re designing a modern terrace, a tranquil water feature, or a timeless country garden.
As a proud sponsor of the Society of Garden + Landscape Designers Awards (SGLD Awards), Stoneworld is committed to supporting excellence in garden and landscape design—this CPD is part of that mission.
