We invite you to join the FREE student and graduate Awards members hour on demystifying the awards, entry processes and benefits on Thursday 17th September from 6pm - 7pm.
If you are considering entering one of the student categories in the SGLD Awards 2027 and are curious to know more or have questions you would like answered, this informal session is for you.
This session is for any student or graduate eligible to enter the student categories, which includes;
- Student members of the Society
- Pre-registered/Graduate members or Friends of the Society who were previously Student members in 2025/2026.
During the session;
- Andrew Duff MSGLD, Chair of the SGLD will talk through the application process.
- Sarah Morgan FSGLD and student judges will discuss what the judges look for and what they prefer to see has been considered in entries.
- Sheila Jack MSGLD will explain how winning a student category helped launch her business, from winning a student award in 2017 to being listed in House & Gardens Top 50 garden designers in 2025.
- Hind & Osen who are the PR team behind the SGLD awards will highlight the huge amount of press involvement, along with the PR benefits of being shortlisted and potentially winning one of the student categories.
- Lynne Marcus FSGLD, the SGLD Awards Chair, will answer any questions regarding entering any of the student categories.
