We’re pleased to be hosting a Mobilane CPD presentation for SGLD members as part of the upcoming Lunch & Learn session.
The session is designed to provide pactical knowledge and insight into the role of green infrastructure, living walls and green screening within contemporary landscape and garden design.
During the presentation, attendees can expect to gain:
- A better understanding of living wall systems – how they work, the different systems available from Mobilane - and where they can be most effectively incorporated into your project.
- Plant selection and performance knowledge – understanding which plant species are best suited to different environments, including considerations around light, exposure and long-term performance.
This will be highlighted by the Green Screens ( which species for what application )
Design considerations – how to successfully incorporate living walls and green screens into landscape and garden schemes from both an aesthetic and practical perspective.
Installation and maintenance guidance – an overview of the key considerations that can influence the successful installation, establishment and ongoing maintenance of green infrastructure.
Environmental and wellbeing benefits – exploring how planting can contribute to biodiversity, air quality, urban greening, acoustic benefits and biophilic design.
Practical project considerations – including specification, positioning, irrigation, access for maintenance and selecting the appropriate system for different applications.
Real-world examples and case studies – demonstrating how these solutions have been successfully used in residential, commercial and public realm projects.
Most importantly, the session aims to give members practical knowledge they can take away and apply to future projects, whether they are at the initial design and specification stage or looking at ways to introduce more planting and biodiversity into an existing scheme.
The presentation will also provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and discuss specific project challenges with the Mobilane team.
