Many garden and landscape designers set up their own practices seeking creative freedom, only to find themselves trapped in 60-hour working weeks, lumpy cash flow, and constant project stress.

Having run her own eco-architecture and garden design practice for 15 years, Clare Nash understands the realities of practice ownership. She advocates that designers do not need to sacrifice their personal lives to run a thriving, highly respected business.

In this practical, inspiring session, Clare shares the exact operational shifts and mindset changes that enabled her to build a profitable, remote practice where her team works part-time and with true work/life balance.

Clare will cover:

  • How blogging about a specific niche stopped her practice competing on price and brought ideal clients directly to her door
  • How shifting your money mindset helps you move away from hourly rates, stop undercharging, and command proper fixed fees
  • Practical strategies to smooth out cash flow rollercoasters and take the dread out of month-end
  • How to run a flexible, remote design team with just a single structured meeting a week

Whether running a sole practice or leading a team, attendees will leave with practical tools and actionable insights to move away from daily client firefighting, charge what their expertise is worth, and build a design business that truly supports their life.
