You are invited to the heart of Swaledale to view and experience Shokk&Awe’s Smaland and Westwood saunas.
You will meet Charles the founder and creative director of Shokk&Awe to learn how a sauna and cold water plunging can transform a garden into a heated sanctuary. A sauna brings a garden alive throughout the winter months creating a life affirming ritual your clients will love.
Touch the raw hand axed corner joints of the sauna walls and enjoy how the sauna weathers into the landscape.
On a practical note Charles will talk through how the traditional sauna lodge is built sitting off the ground on river stones. This ancient method of building enables the sauna to be built anywhere; sitting in a pond, on a hill or with in planting.
You will see examples built in Devon to Hackney.
