22nd September 2020 from 10.00am - 1.30pm

23rd September 2020 from 10.00am - 1.30pm

Please note that this event will not be recorded. Once you have booked onto the event an invitation to the Zoom meeting will be sent 24 hours before the meeting commences with instructions on how to log on.

This course aims to provide delegates with a full understanding of the CDM 2015 Regulations and how they have changed since 2007 with particular regard to garden designs and construction projects.

The course will increase your knowledge of where the regulations do and do not apply to garden design works and landscaping schemes and the difference between projects that are notifiable to the HSE and those that aren’t.

You will learn what the legal duties of designers and contractors, plus the other duty holders, are under the Regulations and how to comply with your duties in a proportionate and practical way for differing types of project, together with gaining an understanding of the paperwork that is required, but more importantly the paperwork that isn’t required!

We will look at the difference between domestic and commercial projects and the extra duties that can be placed upon designers and contractors in the domestic situation.

The course is presented in PowerPoint style with delegate quizzes and tasks, together with discussion session to allow detailed questioning and sharing of experiences.

At the end of the course you should be fully aware of what you are required to do as a designer or contractor of both domestic and commercial projects plus you will have gained an appreciation that CDM2015 is not a bureaucratic exercise requiring mountains of paperwork.

Target audience: This course is suitable for practicing garden designers, not students. The course is limited to 25 delegates.
