A working guide through the mysteries of designing within an historic environment - what you can and cannot do.  The day will offer seminar-based learning combining refresh/updates on the critical planning documents, with case studies drawn from across the asset types and discussion.  One of the aims of this day is to try to provide professionals in the field with some basic knowledge of dealing with historic landscapes in view of the major loss of courses in the subject at universities, led by a practicing consultant who is a heritage specialist.
