Together with her brother Matt, Rachael runs Austin Design Works a B Corp Certified design studio in Gloucestershire. Rachael takes a holistic and collaborative approach to design, working with you on the journey from initial sketch to building on-site to create spaces and gardens that work for you and the environment.
Drawing on her knowledge of historic garden restoration and sustainability and with more than 20 years experience in garden design and landscape architecture, you can rest assured you will receive a fully thought-out service. As part of a design studio including landscape architects and architects, Rachael can offer an integrated design service for projects of all scales.
Her expertise includes Planting Design - Sustainable Landscape Design - Roof Gardens - Natural Swimming Pools - Outdoor Kitchens - Bespoke Garden & Lighting Structures - Tree Surveying & Woodland Design - Planning & Listed Building Consent - Tree Health Surveys. Rachael also designed the SGLD trade stand at RHS Chelsea in 2025, which won a prestigious 4 Stars and will at this year's RHS Badminton Flower Show in July with the Ruskin Mill Trust Artisan Woodland Garden.
