Sue Townsend MSGLD

Sue is a multi-award winning designer who works closely with her clients to create unique, beautiful gardens which enrich their lives and sit well within the landscape.

She has a wealth of experience of designing gardens of all sizes, in coastal, rural and city settings which are practical, stylish and sympathetic to the environment. She runs her design practice from coastal Suffolk having set up business in London in 2001.

With excellent horticultural knowledge, Sue has a flair for planting design and is passionate about using plants to soften hard landscaping and create different moods and drama in the garden.

She introduces water, sculpture and/or lighting to her designs to bring that extra magic to a space.

Sue has won the following Society of Garden Design Awards ; Planting Design 2014, Small Residential Garden 2014, Garden Jewel 2017, Big Ideas, Small Budget 2020, The Beth Chatto environmental garden award 2020 and a national BALI award 2019. Her work has featured in national magazines and books. She is fluent in French and Spanish.
