McQue Gardens is an Edinburgh based garden design studio that offers a full garden design, planting and advice service for clients throughout Scotland - from Fife, East Lothian, the central belt to the Scottish Borders - who are seeking an outside space which is both beautiful and functional.

This sloping garden in the Murrayfield area of Edinburgh was transformed using a mixture of drystone walls, steps and planted terraces. The large greenhouse is a central part of the garden and an element the owners get great joy from.
This newly built house set in rural Angus in Scotland had a large empty plot. New terraces, open fire, water rill and stone walls were included - now there are lots of places to sit and enjoy the views to the fields and hills beyond.
A farmhouse garden in Northumberland with a bare patch of grass and old fruit trees was re-designed to include circular patios, rose arches, sandstone sett paths and lots of romantic planting.
A front garden in Edinburgh was re-designed; a selection of grasses & perennials replaced lawn & box hedges. These, along with multi-stemmed Amelanchier are arranged in waves. Two weathered steel water features and walls provide additional structure.
A city courtyard garden by the beach in Portobello near Edinburgh was transformed with a mixture of built-in seating, walls, log fire and perennial, grass and bulb planting.
This 40 metre long border overlooking the sea in North Berwick, East Lothian had lots of overgrown shrubs removed and re-planted with a mixture of late season perennials and grasses.
A 1970s house in coastal East Lothian was renovated and the new garden had a mixture of seating areas, planting, herb garden and a contemporary pool / water spill added.
On this old horse riding arena just outside Edinburgh a large productive garden was included in this garden. Large areas to grow flowers, fruit, veg and a mixed potager. Places to sit were also added.
A cottage garden filled with roses and romantic herbaceous perennials replaced what had been a parking area and lawn. The garden wraps around the house providing colour all year round.

A small back garden in Edinburgh's Newington area where the owners wanted a combination of seating areas, plenty of colourful planting as well as a cedar greenhouse and somewhere to store tools & furniture.
