Melissa Morton MSGLD

Melissa Morton has been designing gardens in Yorkshire for over 12 years from her studio in Ilkley. From new build homes to rural gardens on the moor, Melissa's process driven approach and technical background delivers elegant gardens that work beautifully.

As an accredited designer of the SGLD and APL (Association of Professional Landscapers) Melissa is constantly learning new approaches to sustainable practices and up to date construction techniques. By sharing her expertise and guiding clients through the many decisions involved, she offers invaluable support throughout the garden transformation journey.

Melissa’s horticultural knowledge, understanding of colour applications and an awareness of landscape character with site context are embedded in the designs. Above all, the presence of planting really makes a garden and creative planting is a core part of our designs. Plants can be used to define the spatial design of a space as well as making a positive contribution to biodiversity and the environment.
