James Paul Basson MSGLD

Based in the South of France, James has established a reputation for creating low maintenance, dry gardens that mix contemporary design with traditional skills. Creating timeless sustainable landscapes, that are sympathetic to the natural environment. We use young plants that are compatible with the native climate and soil, requiring little if any, irrigation. We accept commissions in France, UK and Internationally. James has won 4 Gold Medals at the RHS Chelsea show including Best in Show in 2017 (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017), Silver Gilt at Chelsea and Hampton Court Flower shows as well as Gold and Silver medals at the Gardening World Cup 2012 and 2013. The Governors Trophy at the Philadelphia Flower Show in 2014 and Gold medal with awards for best construction best indoor lighting at the Singapore Garden Festival in 2014 followed by a Silver medal in Singapore in 2016. James was delighted and honoured to have won the Planting Design, International and the Grand Award at the 2015 SGLD Awards.
