Rob Beswick MSGLD

Rob Beswick is a Chartered Landscape Architect and the Founder and Director of BD Landscape Architects, an award-winning UK-based practice specialising in landscape architecture.

He established the studio in 2008 following extensive experience working with leading design firms across the UK and internationally, including in London, Bristol, Bath, and Chicago.

With a First-Class BA (Hons) in Landscape Architecture and a Diploma in Landscape Architecture (with distinction), Rob has developed a strong reputation for delivering innovative, contemporary landscape design across a diverse range of sectors.

His work is defined by a commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and placemaking. Rob is particularly focused on shaping landscapes that evolve from early conceptual thinking into high-quality, enduring environments—spaces that are both environmentally resilient and socially engaging, and that create meaningful, lasting value for communities.

Rob is a member of the Landscape Institute’s Awards and Competitions Committee, panel member for Design West and Design Midlands. He is Trustee of the Cheltenham Design Foundation and serves as a visiting lecturer at Leeds Beckett University.

Rob continues to champion landscape-led design approaches that successfully integrate creative ecology and community engagement to deliver playful places that leave a sustainable legacy for the future.
