Marlene Lento MSGLD

I design deeply considered gardens that respond directly to the character of the surrounding setting and architecture, and the way my clients live. With a background in interior architecture and three decades of projects delivered around the world, I approach gardens as immersive outdoor spaces and a natural extension of the home. I believe gardens should uplift us, no matter what time of year, and whether we are in the garden or looking out onto it.

My studio is based in Kent, and I work across East Sussex, South London, and internationally. My projects often include pools, water features, outdoor kitchens, bars and entertainment areas, outbuildings, and lighting. My award-winning designs are produced in 3D with planting schemes presented to show how the garden will change throughout the season.

I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture and I collaborate with architects, interior designers, engineers, and contractors to deliver cohesive designs that integrate early into the planning process.

I work on a range of residential projects, from country houses to urban gardens of all styles, and new developments. My services cover all stages from concept to completion depending on the needs of the team.
