I am a Chartered Landscape Architect and internationally recognised garden designer, 2026 marks my 50th year in horticulture. Having qualified in 1980 I have since worked extensively in commercial landscape and garden design including lecturing throughout the United Kingdom and overseas. I have had a diverse career spanning commercial landscapes, private gardens and country estates. Regarded as one of the most influential figures in contemporary landscape design, I have achieved a record number of RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medals, including awards in every category, along with multiple “Best in Show” titles and further accolades at RHS Hampton Court. My work is characterised by a narrative‑led approach that combines strong spatial design with a deep understanding of landscape, the environment and planting with a particular interest in sustainability and the relationship between people and nature.
