Tabitha Rigden is Founder and Lead Designer at Rigden Studio, a small garden and landscape design studio located in the Chilterns, near Marlow, on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire. She has been recognised by the SGLD with awards in 2020, 2021, and again in 2025, when she was named Best New Designer for her re-imagined pub garden in Shiplake, Oxfordshire. That same year, House & Garden magazine selected her as their Rising Star for 2025.

Tabitha's design style is characterised by pared down forms alongside expressive, naturalistic and biodiverse planting schemes, a twist that puts environmental sustainability at centre spot while still producing visually stunning outdoor spaces. Rigden Studio regularly collaborates with architects, as well as working with individual homeowners, to produce gardens that will be utilised and enjoyed for years to come – every project is unique, rooted to its surroundings and designed for longevity.

Prior to training at the London College of Garden Design at Kew, Tabitha had a successful career as a Paintings Conservator of Old Master paintings. This instilled within her a deep understanding of spatial composition, texture and colour, as well as a highly tuned attention to detail.
