In this session, Barbara will discuss Moss approach to sustainability throughout the whole design process, from concept to aftercare. She will share successes but also challenges, doubts, and some failures along the way. Barbara will begin by exploring how Moss Studio communicates "sustainability" and why the term can sometimes be problematic.
Barbara set up on her own in garden design in 2012 after 8 years working for an international practice. She established Moss in 2024 to reflect the collaborative approach of the studio. She grew up in the South of France, where her inspiration to craft immersive, layered landscapes with a strong sense of place originated.
Target Audience: Anyone who wants to know more about how successful design studios are addressing their role in the climate and biodiversity crisis.
