Introducing horticultural zero waste goals
During this bitesize webinar Miria will talk through her experience of designing gardens which seek to eliminate, reduce and minimise waste. Focussing on two case studies; one a small residential garden in East London and the other, her 2024 RHS Chelsea garden for the Stroke Association, she will talk through the successes and failures as well as explore ideas around how it might be possible to implement a circular economy ethos within the horticultural industry. She’ll debunk a few myths, give tips on easy wins that can be introduced to soften the environmental impact of making new gardens and will discuss the importance of building a community of clients, architects, suppliers, contractors, planning consultants and ecologists who are open to challenging the way things have been done, and try things differently.
Time: 5pm-6:30pm Tuesday 29 April - with time for Q&A
