We look forward to welcoming you to David Austin® roses Planting Partnership garden at Belvoir Castle, where we will tour the beautiful rose gardens.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW...
You will be greeted by David Austin Rose Consultants Richard Stubbs, Joe Sturrock-Spencer and Andy Tudbury, Head Gardener at Belvoir Castle.
The tour kicks off at 10:30am – 1:30pm and you will be introduced to the extensive Rose Gardens with insights about the recent developments and planting schemes.
You will learn about the heritage and breeding of David Austin Roses along with background about the design and variety selection to create spectacular Rose gardens like the ones at Belvoir Castle. There are some great examples of roses with mixed herbaceous planting schemes and Head Gardener Andy along with the David Austin Rose experts will give practical advice on best practice for care and maintenance.
After exploring the gardens, the team will be happy to talk about any rose related subject or experiences from the garden tour.

- Learn about the 13 year breeding programme and the extensive trials required to create new varieties
- Discuss the history of the Belvoir Castle rose garden and planting partnership focusing on the planning, design and plant selection
- Tour the rose garden – point out key varieties and design choices

No food or refreshments are included, but you are welcome to visit Vale view café that provides delicious lunches to enjoy whilst taking in the gorgeous greenery of the vale.
