These talks will concentrate on the rules, regulations and best practices that might apply to the subject.
Often, despite there being technical guidance, a solution is not always obvious, or it can be too complex to be framed within such documents. If there is any uncertainty further clarity should be sought, by the Designer from an expert or supplier.
The summary notes or slides and recordings for each talk will be made available to attendees.
Equal thresholds
A common client request is to construct the area directly accessed form a kitchen/ lounge living space, to be at the same level as the finished internal level. This is relatively simple where building works are yet to take place, but complications and issues of liability arise when such a level change is required against an existing structure.
Building regulations and issues of liability will be highlighted & possible solutions will be illustrated.
