Presented by: Paul Hensey FSGLD
Date: 02 July 2025
Time: 15:00 - 16:00
Please note that this event will be recorded and will be made available to delegates after the event. For more information on recording and privacy please click here. Once you have booked onto the event an invitation register to the Zoom meeting will be sent via email, including information on how to join the meeting.
These talks will concentrate on the rules, regulations and best practices that might apply to the subject.
Often, despite there being technical guidance, a solution is not always obvious, or it can be too complex to be framed within such documents. If there is any uncertainty further clarity should be sought, by the Designer from an expert or supplier.
The summary notes or slides and recordings for each talk will be made available to attendees.
Paving Slip resistance
It can be argued that the starting point for selecting the right paving for any scheme is not, how it looks but what is the appropriate slip resistance value for the intended location. There are several systems by which slip resistance is measured and not all are suitable or appropriate for external use, despite being quoted by suppliers. This talk will summarise the various tests and highlight the values that should be used in a paving specification, regardless of paving type.
